WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Q: How much experience do I need for this course?

Answer: The workshop is for all levels.
Since the workshop is small, each student’s learning experience can be customized. We have had success with a wide range of experience levels. Including brand-new beginners, experienced stylists who are interested and barbering, barbers who have been practicing as a hobby, as well as national educators and salon owners to refresh and advance their skill set. (experience years from 0 to 25 years) who have all benefitted from the workshop.

Q: What tools are provided in the toolkit?

Answer: Eikonic notebook with illustration, Male Manikin Head, Wahl Pilot with guards, Andis Superliner with titanium foil shaver, Andis T-Headliner with guards, Clipper comb, Andis white clipper comb, Andis black clipper comb, barber taper comb, straight razor, universal double edge razor pack, pencil, highlighter, spray bottle, boar bristle neck duster, feather razor comb, tote.

Q: Can I bring my own tools?

Answer: Much time and effort has been researched for our tool selection. In order to maintain consistency and class flow, the tool list has been approved and recommended by the instructor for it's easy of use and performance. We encourage you to purchase our discounted toolkit (valued over $500). However, if you choose to bring your own tools, you MUST utilize the same machines and combs in order participate.

Q: Where can I buy additional tools?

Answer: For your convenience, select tools will be available for purchase on the day of the workshop.

Q: Do I need model(s)?

Answer: For the first two workshops, you will be working manikin heads. We recommend brining a model for day 3 and 4 as the best results are achieved when learning to do various fades.

Q: Do I get a certificate?

Answer: Upon successfully completing the workshops, you will earn a Certificate of Completion issued by Licensed Master Barber-Stylist. You will also be recognized with an Official Eikonic House of Barbers Golden Pin.

Q: How big is the class?

Answer: Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 10 students to ensure optimal one-on-one coaching.

Q: What will I learn?

Answer: Upon workshop completion you will be knowledgeable in the following topics. Our team will also work with you during the registration process to identify focus areas in an effort customize your learning experience.

Q: Who will be teaching? How much experience do they have?

Answer: Eikonic's Master Barber Martin Truong will be leading the workshop classes along with his Expert Team who have been trained under the Eikonic Barbering System. Martin is a licensed Barber-Stylist under the Ministry of Trades and a registered member of the Canadian Allied Beauty Association Master Judges Network.

Q: I already have some experience cutting can I skip classes?

Answer: The Eikonic Barbering System is a proprietary cutting system that builds upon the basic framework and structure as developed by Master Barber Martin Truong. In order to fully understand how techniques can harmoniously work together, our workshops cannot be broken up. Each level builds upon the skills obtained from the class before.

Q: What types of haircuts will I be learning?

Answer: After completing the program, you will be versed in techniques to create both classic and trending hairstyles. We believe pictures speak louder than words, so feel free to check out our work.

Q: What if I can't keep up?

Answer: We get it, learning takes time - especially for a skill-set as vast as barbering. Which is why we decided to spread the material over 4 days covering both concepts and hands-on-technical training. In addition, we have limited our class size to a maximum of 10 students with a ratio of 1 instructor to 5 students to physically help you adjust your angles and techniques. You will have lots of opportunities for questions and support.

Q: Is Eikonic Barber Academy associated with Eikonic House of Barbers?

Answer: Yes! Master Barber Martin Truong is the co-founder of Eikonic House of Barbers - the premiere destination to fine men's grooming in Canada specializing in haircuts, hot towel shaves, and premium products and shaving implements.

PAYMENT, REGISTRATION & POLICIES

Q:How do I make register?

Answer: To register, contact our program administrator Jessica Hoach by email at jessica@eikonicmane.com or by calling direct 647-886-2291.

Q: How can I make payment?

Answer: There are two easy payment options:
1. Secured e-payment via Freshbooks - the most trustworthy online payment system.
2. By Cheque: Eikonic Mane Inc.

Q: Will I get a receipt?

Answer: Yes! As a registered business, you will be issued a taxable receipt. Our HST registration is 842730103 RT0001

Q: What are your cancellation/rescheduling/refund policies?


Answer: Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your spot, you must do so in writing or electronically through email to info@eikonicmane.com at least 2 weeks before the first workshop start date. Cancellations made from 13 days up till 48 hours before class is subject to a non-refundable 25% charge off the tuition fee. Cancellations made within 48hours of class will be subject to 50% non-refundable charge of the tuition fee.

Rescheduling
If you are unable to attend and choose to reschedule the workshops at a future date, you can transfer your credit to a future class within 1 year of registration. A non-refundable rescheduling fee of $150 will apply if you reschedule within 2 weeks of the class. If the credit is unused after 13 calendar months from the date of cancellation, a full refund minus the rescheduling fee of $150 will be issued by check.
